Service
Description: The project aims to provide additional source
of income and livelihood among the beneficiaries are 25 selected families in
barangay Balubal and augment their meager income through hog/swine raising.
The
beneficiaries shall undergo a three (3) day workshop-seminar upon which they
shall be taught and train in swine raising. After the seminar, each of the
beneficiaries shall receive two (2) swine/hog to raise.
This
project shall in partnership with the program of Cong. Constantino “Tinex”
Jaraula who shall give his counterpart by way of his Countrywide Development
Fund in the amount of One Hundred Thousand (P100,000.00) Pesos. Further, the
club shall likewise put up an amount of P100,000.00 pesos as its counterpart in
terms of monitoring and implementation and information and education component
(IEC).
Objective(s):
1) To
augment and provide additional income to the families
2) To
transfer knowhow on swine raising.

Career Guidance at Canitoan National High School
On Friday, March 12, 2010 the Rotarians of Cagayan de Oro North gave a career guidance to the graduating class of Canitoan National High School. Headed by President Jude Chabon and with their Principal Mr. Comeng the Rotarians gave enlightening speeches on their own careers and a history on their personal experiences on getting their college education. The main trust was to convince the students to pursue a college degree.

Mission at RER subdivision.
Since August
14 the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro North supported on going monthly
medical mission
at the
Parish in RER, Cagayan de Oro City. Headed by PP Ruel Velasco as our
point man in the project with PP
Butch Hautea doctor for Ophthalmology and PAG Joy
Hernandez
doctor for Cardiology, lend their expertise for free to the less
fortunate. The members with the Anns are there to assist so that the
project will run smoothly.

Description:
This project is done yearly during “Eid’Ul Adha” in cooperation with Risale-1
Nur Institute headed by PE Muhammed Rizal Daikilic and NGO’s from Turkey HULUSI
EFENDI FOUNDATION. Each family will get 2 kilos or more of chopped cow meat.
This is to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
Eid’Ul Adha
is the feast in which God gave Abraham a lamb to slaughter after Abraham showed
his obedience to God by offering his son as a sacrifice to him. By this act our
fellow Muslims re-in-act the slaughtering and giving the bounty which God gave
to Abaham.
Objective(s):
1.) to distribute 2 kilos of Quban Meat
to less fortunate families of selected barangays.

Description: This
project is done yearly every November in
celebration of blood month of the Red Cross. This project is done this
year in
cooperation with Bombo Radio during their Blood Letting activity. Each
member and
Rotaract donated 1 to 2 pints of blood to the Red Cross blood bank. This
Project also is the initial project where our Rotaracts are installed
since being activated on the same day.

Symposium on Justice (Peace Project)

Description: This
is another project designed to promote the
culture of peace in Mindanao
particularly
Cagayan de Oro City by sponsoring an international conference on
Justice. The
title of this project is “The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro north
supports the
International Conference on Justice with the theme: The role of Justice
in
Building a Better world”. This symposium was attended by distinguished
scholars
and religious leaders in Europe and in Asia.

activity. This symposium was attended by DG Fe "BING" Juarez and members from Rotary Club of Maria Christina in Iligan
City.

Description: This
Project promotes and strengthens the
literacy projects of the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro North. Dr. Micheal
Lenaghan from the University
of Florida was
invited to
talk about the introductions, principles and practices of Multiple
Intelligences. Dr. Estrella Babano
Director of DepEd region 10 also was invited
to give more insights on Multiple Intelligences in relation to peace
advocacies. This project was facilitated by past president Quivs Origines.
Objective(s):
1.) To
teach
teachers in elementary levels on how to use different strategies and
techniques in using the multiple intelligences modules to their
students.
2.) .
To promote Rotary activities to teachers in Cagayan de Oro City
